All are welcome to succeed at ASU

“Elite” institutions pride themselves on keeping people away by making the barriers to entry nearly insurmountable.

Not at ASU.

Our charter guides us, and access is one of its core tenets. Broad access — across racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds; across socioeconomic factors; and across the spectrum of previous academic achievement. This commitment extends to our high-quality online programs, taught by the same world-class faculty who teach on campus. Giving more people greater access to higher education will advance our country — and the world — economically, socially and sustainably.

With that mindset, ASU’s enrollment has steadily grown for more than 20 years.

But it’s not just the enrollment. It’s about helping students succeed. ASU does that, too.

Fixing higher education is a cause, not a competition.

To all of the universities out there, join us. Let’s work together to reimagine higher education, and create a new kind of American university where you don’t need to choose between access and excellence.
